One of the best things I will ever drink in my lifetime. 90-94: Brilliant. Certainly would be considered an upscale Scotch. 85-89: Excellent. There’s always a bottle in my collection. 80-84: Very nice. Perhaps only a fault or two about it. 75-79: Good. Easy to drink, nothing too exciting.

The term isn’t widely used in the industry or by whiskey lovers, but it’s good to know nevertheless. It's a smokier Black Label. It’s still pretty gentle on the whole. The smoke appears mostly in the finish.
